Question: I started jogging of late but unable to complete even 1/2 km!. shall i do things differently!?
I'm obese and so I've started this jogging!. Since I've never had any exercise before, I am unable to complete even half a kilometer jogging before stopping to catch my breathe and I end up walking back home!. How can I do things differently so that I don't start panting for breathe so easily!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Start with walking quickly!. Walking and running burn the same amount of calories over a given distance (about 100 per mile)!. Walk 2-3 miles every day!. Once that's easy, try jogging a little faster then a walk and complete one mile!.

You have to build up to it!. But walk 4-5 km every night!. That'll be a HUGE difference!. The fat will melt off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are on a good track already!. Watch what you eat; it's important!. Artificial sweeteners, diet sodas, sugar and starches have a tendency to increase inflammation, which is holding you back a little because it holds your body back making it harder on feet, knees lungs and heart and all other tissues!.

There is nothing wrong with waking, so you are doing some good by walking back after you run a bit; it's healthy for you!.

If you WANT to run/jog then do what some people call intervals!. Walk a bit - run a bit - walk a bit more!. Change your work-out every day: one day walk for about forty minutes, the next run-jog-run-jog for about thirty!. And the next day just walk about an hour!. On the next day rest!. Then start again!.

Some exercise experts think that training twice a day is better for you than one work-out a day!. I've tried this and it DOES work better for me!.

Keep a log of what you eat and how you work-out because your body will quickly adapt to what you are doing, so you need to be absolutely sure that you are increasing your work-outs over time, a log will help you do this!. The food log will tell you if you slip!. You absolutely must eat less; it will not work any other way!.

I wish you very much success!. Take it slowly and focus on daily work and successes - and soon you will be where you wish to be!.

Good luck,

All I can tell you is to keep trying and continue what you are doing, eventually you will see improvement if you keep exercising!. Everyone has to start somewhere!.!.!.People don't just go from being overweight/out of shape and not active to running two miles a day and becoming a marathon runner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are on the right track, just stick with it!. Jog as far as you can, then walk some, then jog some more!. Eventually you will be able to jog your desired distance!. Just be patient and give yourself time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should jog at a small paceWww@Answer-Health@Com
