Healthy or not???!


Question: Healthy or not!?!?!?
I have posted a lot on weight loss and exercise over the past months time!. I have dropped to 248 from 262 in 31 days time!. I have heard that you should only lose 1-2 pounds a week!. I have been using Hydroxycut, working out a hour at least a day, and reducing calories and cutting out bad foods as well!. Is 14 pounds in one month good health wise or am I doing too much and need to slow down!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations! That is an excellent achievement and you deserve a great big pat on the back for a job well done and an outstanding effort!

The 1 to 2 pounds a week comes from a general consensus that safe, healthy weight loss should not exceed about 1 percent of body weight weekly!.

At greater rates, it is postulated that more of the weight loss will come from your muscles being used for nourishment by your starving body!

Remember, you want to lose body fat-- not just weight!. So hold on to your muscle!. And one of the best ways to do that is to weight train!

You should know that it gets harder to lose the pounds as you get thinner so do not become discouraged if you lose less weight next month, or the month after!.

If you've already cut out all the junk food and reduced calories substantially, choose to increase your exercise to burn additional calories over decreasing your food intake some more because reducing your calories too low eventually slows down your metabolism!.

This is your body's natural reaction to restricted energy intake!. It becomes more 'efficient' in conserving energy in case of famine-- call it a built-in survival mechanism!.

You're doing great!. Even if you've surpassed slightly the 1 to 2 pound per week guideline, at your weight (and at first), it's normal to lose a little more since some of it will be water weight loss!.

Continue to aim for a 1 to 2 pound loss per week!. Adjust as you go!. Great job!

Not a problem!. Particularly in the first couple months!. You are probably throwing off fluid too!. Be careful that you are drinking enough water!. The exercise is the real important thing with your program!. Grandma is always after me to walk the dog around one or two more blocks!.!.!.
