My diet???!


Question: My diet!?!?!?
ok so in the morning i eat cheerios with semi-skimmed milk
then for dinner i have say a salad or fruit
then for tea i would have say curry or something i walk an hour every day but i seem to be gaining weight !?
i dont snack aswell why is this happeningWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Holly!. I agree with everyone about your calories!.!. you may not be getting enough!. Depending on your physical activity the lowest would be around 1200- or so I have read!. They say the body burns around 1200 calories a day just to do its daily functions, so if you are very active it would be higher!. Maybe keep a food journal to see what your calorie intake is and find the right amount for you!. (height/weight/activity level)

I don't know much about curry or what kind of calories are in it!.

Maybe try using weights 2 or 3 days a week!.!. every other day!. Lifting weights builds muscle!. More muscle will boost your metabolism and burn more calories!.

Muscle also weighs more then fat, so if you didn't walk before and are doing it everyday now, you may have lost some fat and gained some muscle !. Measure yourself and go by the feel of your clothes also!.

I don't think plain cheerios are bad but it never hurts to compare labels for added sugar!. And as others said have a good balance of foods!.!. add some protein at dinner!.!. maybe some grilled chicken or tuna!.!. or even lean steak, or a hard boiled egg and I think you can have the piece of fruit also!.!. fruit is good for you and low in calories!. And if you do snack I have read if you eat a piece of fruit (carbohydrate) have protein with it also!.!. say an ounce of low fat cheese, a glass of skim milk or a couple of almonds!.

Starters if you realy want to stop gaining weight think about how healthy cheerios are cereal is fab just try something like special k or maybe weetabix or somthing like that that doesnt have sugar all over it!
Make sure you eat enough for 'dinner' hunnii you may end up anrexic make sure you eat enough,, because like the girl said the calories are just clinging onto you!
It's good to have curry once in a while make sure its healthy stuff ! But once in a while note ceaser salad is nice just watch the ceaser dressing!. Snacks are good though,, if you're hungryy try apples and bananas they well keep you full!
Remember this though,, make sure you have a variety in the food you eat ,, and make sure its a balanced diet
