I'm 5'6 and 125lb!.I eat about 4000 calories a day!.Is this a lot!? and how much am I suppose to eat for my height and weight!?;How much to lose weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can find out how much is the basic level you are supposed to eat by finding your basal metabolic rate, which is the number of calories your body burns just surviving every day!. use the calculator here: http://health!.discovery!.com/tools/calcul!.!.!. if you are a female, your basal metabolic rate is around 1,416 calories!. if you are a male, it is around 1,558!. these are the minimum amounts of calories you are burning every day!.

right now you are eating nearly three times as much food as you need depending on the amount of exercise you get and calories you burn in daily activity!. if you are an athlete or walk/run a lot, you obviously need to consume more calories to make up for those you are expending!. the judgment can't be made based solely on your height and weight!.

right now you are at a healthy weight!. however, to lose weight, you need to consume fewer calories than you are taking in!.!.!. so assuming that you get no exercise and have almost no daily activity, you need to eat fewer than 1,416 (or 1,558 if you are male) calories each day to lose weight!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

four thousand calories is a lot unless you're extremely athletic and active with a high metabolism!. the bottom line is, as long as you're consuming enough that your body can function and burning all the excess you should be fine!. what's more important is if those are fat calories or not!. if you're eating a lot of carbs fruits veggies and lean protein that you are burning off, you should be fine!. if you're eating potato chips and drinking sodas and the like, then that will become a huge problem very soonWww@Answer-Health@Com

You dont need to loose weight!. If you eat that much and you dont gain weight then thats how much your body needs to keep you alive!. If you cut your calories you will loose weight, However, at this point i deem in unhealthy to do so at 5'6 125!.!.!.Im 5'2 and Im suppose to be 125!.!.!.You are suppose to be like 130 or 135 anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG hell yeah thats a lot!. the typical female only needs approx 700-1000 calories a day and a typical guy MAYBE 2500 at the most!. the fact that you're not fat says you're either young, exercise a lot, or have a very very high metabolism!. either way, thats going to catch up with you eventually!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah! I'm surprised your still at 125!. You either have the best metabolism in the world or your going to balloon up real quick!. I think your supposed to eat around 1200 calories a day!. If you want to lose weight try cutting about 300 - 400 calories out of your diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

heh 4000 calories of what is important!. if you're eating 4000 calories worth sugar and what not, then uhmmmmm yes definately that's too much!.

If you sit and do nothing then ya you eat alot!. But if you lift 50 lb weight everysecond as work then maybe not enough!.

Those nutrition labels on the side of food packages are based on a 2000 calorie diet!. At 4000, you're doing double that!. If you want to lose weight, eat less than you are now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

as long as your active, which seems to me like you are or have a really fast metabolism, you can eat that much because you burn it off with your activities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

thats typical if you are young and active!. I am 27 now and that wouldnt sit well with me now!. 4000 calories is a lot of food so I can only imagine you are very active!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

but if u eat a lot of junk food every day to make it 4000 calories,
