How many calories do you think i burned this morning?!


Question:

How many calories do you think i burned this morning?

I weight lifted for 1 and a half hours. First I did a really good warm up. Streching while you move (I forget what it's called) for about 15 min.

1. squats. I did 6 reps, 3 sets of 120 lbs
2. Don't know what it's called but you use a bar and hold it in one hand right above your shoulder parallel to the ground, then you do a quarter squat, jump and push the bar above your head. I did 8 reps, 2 sets of 24 lbs
3. close grip bench 8 reps, 3 sets of 7olbs
4. pull ups. 3 sets of 8 9with help from a band)
5. clock lunges 3 reps 3 sets of a 20lbs vest and 12lbs weight in each hand.
6. plate raises 8reps 2 sets
7. ab work (3 sets of stright leg sit ups and I held the bridge for 1 min 30 sec.

How many calories do you think i burned?

Alright, so here's the sum up...


Stretching for 15 minutes: 41 calories burned
Squats, 18 times holding 120 lb. weight: 38 calories burned
No idea what that is, but I'd assume: 50 calories burned
3, 4, and 5: 49 calories burned
6 and 7: 99 calories burned

TOTAL: 227 calories burned

Reminder: These are all approximations based on your weight and type of lifting/resistance you did. I know that it doesn't seem very...generous [the number of calories burned], but it's realistic.

Try fitting in some cardio, you could burn twice that in an hour rather then just lifting weights [that is, if you're trying to lose weight].
