If you eat more than your body actually needs then you will gain weight!. If you don't exercise or don't exercise enough then the foods you will consume will turn to fat instead of muscle!. Your question seems to be directed in asking the number of times foods should be consumed!. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner because those are the basic meals that should be eaten to fulfill our nutritional requirements!.If you are one of those people that can't eat a large meal at once then you should develop a schedule or routine that allows you to eat smaller but more frequent portions of food!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It makes no difference whether you eat a given amount of food in a few large or in a many small portions!. The body won't know the difference as it will digest it just the same and extracts the same amount of calories from it!.

What makes the difference is the total amount of calories in the food we eat each day, if it's more than we use the extra part that is not burnt will be stored as fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You gain less weight when you eat slowly and pause during the meal!. It takes time for your mind to register that your hunger has been satisfied!. If you eat quickly then you will still feel like you are hungry whether you eat a small or large quantity of food!. If you eat slowly, then you'll eat less throughout the day and feel like eating less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you eat more calories than your body burns you'll gain weight!. But several smaller meals beats 3 large ones, if the calories are equal!.

Eat 5-6 small meals every 2-3 hours!. It keeps up the "thermic effect" That's your body burning calories just to digest food!. The body uses 10% of the calories it ingests to digest!.
When you eat more spaced apart, your digestion turns off & starts to store fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I gain weight when I eat in combination with anything distracting, such as watching TV or using the computer!. I say this because it is easy to lose track of how much I am actually eating if I am not focused solely enjoying just the meal and nothing else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
