Athletes in training shuld consum high calorie diets w/ mor protein, carbs & fats. Anything wrong with this?


Answers:

The key for a high performance athlete is the fact they are burning a lot of calories. They eat the extra protein because their muscles are in constant need of this protein for fuel, support, and growth. So ultimately as the activity level goes up the amount of energy one needs also goes up. I would say there is nothing wrong with this if they are maintaining healthy weight levels.
