At your age, you body is going through a lot of changes (and you still have several years of body changing to go)!. First, look to your family on both sides to see how the women are built!. You will likely have a body type like your mom's or other aunts or grandmother (some are even built like the males in their family)!. Let me clarify, "body type" doesn't necessarily mean that if they are overweight, you will be, too!. All I'm saying is, for example, if mom is a pear shape or Aunt Mary has an hourglass shape, you are likely to have the same shape!. Whether you stay lean or build up fat is up to you!. Studies do show that having overweight family members predisposes you to the condition BUT if you watch your diet and activity levels, it is something that can be avoided!.

That being said, I don't think you are overweight!. In fact, you are within the ideal weight for your age and height!. What is happening right now is your hormone levels are changing (because you've reached puberty) and this is causing your body to distribute fat differently!. For example, if you are not yet fully developed, around this time, you will still be developing your breasts and your brain is getting the message (from your hormone levels) that fat should be deposited around the hips and thighs!. During your puberty, your body is preparing itself for your future as a childbearing human being!. Women need the fats on their abdomen and thighs for when it's time to be pregnant!. However, you can take extra measures to keep these changes under control!.

Right now, the best thing you can do is spot exercises for your stomach and thighs!. Crunches and sit-ups can be very effective if you do them religiously!. Leg lifts and squats work well for the thighs!. I'm sure you can do a search and find several exercises that are aimed towards trimming the stomach, legs and thighs!. Look for something you enjoy doing so that you are likely to do it more often!. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you gain a pound or two after a couple of weeks of exercising, don't be alarmed!. You could just be gaining/building muscle!.

Keep your healthy diet!. The reason why you are craving food all day is partly also because of your hormone levels!. You may also be going through a growing spurt!. In this case, you body needs the extra nutrition to support rapid growth!. I suggest you add more beans and other sources of protein to help with muscle development!.

Most of all, don't stress over this!. Stress is known to cause the brain to release cortisol, a hormone that tells the body to store fats around the tummy!. Start with a walking regimen, too!. This will help get you started on your way to a beautiful bikini body :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

alright, i get that you feel fat!.
youre not, but if you really want to feel better about yourself i
recommend doing cardio ( running, walking, swimming) around 30 mins a day!.
eat healthy, and as a present at the end of the week eat something youve been craving, but in moderation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you are only 13 there is a possibility it's just your body maturing!. But if it's really freaking you out you may be fine w/ some good toning exercises, like Pilates, some extra cardio exercise like speed walking or running or swimming laps!. Stairs are an amazing way to tone up the but and legs!. Depending on your level of fitness you may need to start slow!. Along w/ this just try to make good choices when you snack!. 94% fat free microwave popcorn is a great low cal snack, fruits (esp!. grilled) are great this time of year!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just go for a run or a walk almost everyday!. Tighten your abs while you do so and you will tone up your whole body and shed those pounds in a couple of weeks!.

Also, for the other answerers, I developed very early and reachecd my max height (5'2) when I was 10!. I'm not saying that you are done growing but you might be!. Either way, you sound healthy but theres nothing wrong with wanting to shed a few ponds and tone up!. Just don't over do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are underweight!. I'm 5 ft!. 6 in!. and weigh 150 lbs!. you have nothing to complain about!. But if your that worried about it, just try counting your calories and increasing activity!. i'm on weight watchers and its wonderful!! But trust me, you DO NOT! need to lose weight!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just get active! Eat healthy, walk/cycle/jog when you can or do sports if you enjoy them, swimming is the best way to tone up overall, or buy a sit up bar to tone your tummy! But you will probably grow out of it, you are only 13!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can't choose where the weight you lose comes off!.
also, you're only 13!.
right now is a big developing stage!.
you will gain weight at this age!. and you will get taller!.
girls are supposed to have large hips and thighs, unfortunatly!.

but!. what you can do if you are so self concious, eat 3 healthy meals!. ONLY drink WATER!. no soda!. no candy!. not fats!. maybe on the weekend treat youreslf to icecream or something!.
run/walk everyday for 30 min-2hours!.
if you can't get out the house, dance, jump around, do crunches to tone your tummy, and drink some more water!
you're young, you have time to develop, and thats what is happening now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
