What is going on with my weight/metabolism?!


Question: What is going on with my weight/metabolism!?
I've been doing cardio 45 minute each day for the past week (brought it down from an hour) followed by 25 minutes of weight training!. I've been counting my calories and eat no more than 1500 calories!.!.!.I've been doing this all week and haven't cheated!. However, I used to lose weight by exercising and eating 1500 claories!.!.!.now, I'm staying the same or even seem to be gaining a little! This just started occuring this past week!.!.!.I'm 25 by the way and am 5'2 and weigh 105 pounds!.!.,if I eat 2000 calories then I gain like a pound!.!.!.what could be going on!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A couple things you may want to think about!. There are about 3500 calories in a pound, which means in order to gain a pound you would have to consume 3500 more calories than your body needs!.

Another thing perhaps to consider is that muscle tissue is actually 15% more dense than adipose (fatty) tissue!. This fact makes it fathomable that, if you're gaining muscle, you are actually also gaining a little bit of weight, even if you're feeling stronger and healthier!. However THIS IS NOT A BAD THING!. In fact, although gaining muscle may cause a tiny bit of weight gain in the beginning, muscle tissue burns fat very efficiently because it uses it to replenish depleted muscle energy!. This means that gaining muscle in the long run will allow you to burn a lot more fat than if you had less muscle!.
