Lost a lot of weight, but don't feel well!?!

Question: Lost a lot of weight, but don't feel well!!?
After I had my most recent baby in Sept!. '07, I weighed close to 300 pounds!. After I delivered her I went through a pretty severe baby blues period that lasted about 2 weeks--I'd never had this with my previous 2 babies!. In Jan!. I went on a weight loss mission!. I have been eating 1200 calories a day since then!. I don't exclude anything, I eat everything in all the food groups--including good fats!. I drink lots of water and take a multi-vitamin!. I have not started a formal exercise program (yet), but I do have 3 very young children that keep me hopping pretty much from morning to night!. Today, I weigh 217!. At that weight loss you'd think I'd be bouncing off the walls!. But I'm not!. I feel exhausted, my hair is falling out (in scary mass quantities), and I have headaches nearly everyday!. I have tried to eat more calories for a period of time, but it didn't help!. Do you think this is diet related or something else!? Does this sound familiar to any of you!? Thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be your multi-vitamin, I've seen it before, try going without it a week!. Also are you sleeping properly!? I know it is hard, my youngest was born end of Sept 07 also!. Do your docs think it could be because you've lost so much so fast your body is just trying to adapt!?

Exercise has really helped me increase my energy, I know it is hard with kids, but I have learned to make time where I can to fit it in!. I recommend walk away the pounds, you can do it in home so you get a great aerobic walk and you don't have to worry about what to do with the kids!

It was a good step going to your doctor, hopefully it is nothing bad and you can continue on your fantastic loss!

You have done awesome so far! Keep it up!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah it honestly doesn't sound diet-related!. I'd double-check to make sure that you aren't critically missing any nutrients like calcium, magnesium, zinc (these are related to bone and hair strength) but otherwise if you're eating all food groups, I cant see this being becuase of your diet!. You may be stressed!? Not drinking enough water!? Not getting enough sleep!? Try supplementing your diet with a multivitamin tablet and make sure you always get enough rest and sunshine!.

You may also consider a colon cleanse!. Maybe you have a build up of toxins in your system!? Try all these and good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let me tell you something!.!.!.!.!.!.as far as the hair loss!. When you are pregnant, your body preserves all of your hair and have you ever noticed how beautiful, thick and full your hair is when you are pregnant!? well, after you give birth, you will lose all the hair you were supposed to lose during pregnancy all at once and it seems as though you are losing tons and tons of hair!. Totally normal! My hair did the same thing! No worries!. As far as feeling drained, well, you got 3 little ones sunshine! I only have 1 and i'm drained and somewhat depressed at times!. It's just hormones!.!.!.!.!.!.it'll get better!.!.!.!.!.little by litte!.!.!.!.!.day by day!. But the hair thing!. Everyone loses a certain amount of hair every day by shedding it!. When you are pregnant, you don't lose any of it!. After birth, you seem to shed all the hair at once that was supposed to shed while pregnant and it can ultimately come out in clumps!. NORMAL!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello Tanya,

Congatulations on the weight loss and the beautifull children!. A couple of things, first of all you're in a full time job with the kids and exhaustion is part of the deal!. The true clue you gave me was your hair falling out!. Here's your answer, your not eating enough protein!. Yes really, My mom went through the same thing and could'nt get a handle on it!. I put her on my nutrition progam and her hair quit falling out and her energy level went through the roof, she's 79!.!.!.!. Here's my suggestion, get rid of all sugar souces in your life and beef up on your protein intake, drink pleanty of water and try as hard as it may be to sneak in more cat naps!. You need the sleep!. I wrote a good book on the subject and you may want to check it out!. My web site address can be located in my profile!.

Best of luck, and EAT MORE PROTEIN
