How is my new healthy eating plan?!


Question: How is my new healthy eating plan!?
Breakfast: (7:30am)
- 2 weetabix with low fat milk!.
Around this much milk:

- 1 chopped apple!.
- 1 pint glass of tap water!.

Snack (10am)
- 1 apple!.
- 1 banana!.
- 1 bottle of evian water - 1 litre!.

Lunch (12pm)
- 1 tuna sandwich in wholemeal bread
or
- 1 cooked jacket potato with tuna and a small side salad!.
- Handful of grapes!.
- 1 bottle of evian water - 1 litre!.

Snack (3pm)
- 5 strawberries!.
- Half a pint of tap water!.

Dinner (6pm)
- Chicken or pork or beef with boiled potatoes and peas!.
Or
- Tuna pasta with salad!.
Or
- Jacket potato with tuna and beans with a small side salad!.
Or
- Garlic chicken kiev with potato cubes and peas!.
With, 1 pint of tap water, followed by 1 piece of fruit!.

I'm new to this whole healthy eating thing and I'm a little overweight too, any adjustments will be appreciated!.
Feel free to tell me where I have gone wrong!

It would help to know how old you are, but in my opinion this is far from healthy!. A dietician would have a fit!. You have hardly any protein, and way too few calories!. The really GOOD thing is the number of times, and time of day that you're eating!.

Breakfast: Add an ounce of cheese or an egg!. Low fat cheese is better, but it doesn't have to be!. Have a full cup (8 oz) of skim or 1% milk!. If you have that much milk, you probably don't need the water!. If this seems like a lot, cut out one Weetabix!. The whole breakfast should not be less than 400 calories!.

Am Snack: Again, you need some protein!. Have one of the fruits with a 1/4 cup of peanuts!.

Lunch: Excellent!. Make sure you have 3 oz (approx 3/4 cup) of tuna, so you get enough protein!. If you use mayo, use lite!. You don't need that much water, but if you like water, go for it!.

pm snack:: 5 strawberries is only 10 calories - your body won't know it had a snack! Have 10 strawberries and a small container of yogurt!. Or you could have an ounce of cheese and 5 crackers, or 10-15 grapes & 1 oz cheese!.

Dinner: Not bad!. Peas are fairly high calorie, so carrots or green beans are better!. Make sure you have lots of vegetables, at least a cup, and 3 oz of meat or tuna or chicken!. Fruit is good for dessert!.

Reasons for the changes I've suggested!. Protein takes longer to digest, so you feel full longer & won't get so hungry!. If you don't eat enough in the morning, you'll be hungry in the evening, and if you're tired, you're more likely to grab something unhealthy to eat!. Snacks need to be enough calories so that your body knows you've eaten!. Eating every few hours as you have planned ensures that your metabolism is always working, so stays higher & burns more calories!. You're getting plenty of fluids in the fruit & veg, so don't go crazy with the water or you'll spend all day in the washroom, and it isn't necessary!. If you're hungry in the evening, have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, and an apple around 9!.00pm!.

Wow! This looks like a great plan! I really don't see any changes that need to be made!

Just make sure to get in some good exercise also! What you are starting out doing looks good!. Just keep working towards more!. And, the Tae Bo DVD's are awesome!! He's got a bunch of different series and each series comes with like 5 DVD's!. And, one of them is always a beginner!. So, find one you want and start with the beginner one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

holy crap i wish i could teach myself to eat that healthy!!! i could never do that!! but maybe you should cut down the snack at 10am!. i dont know but that seems like a lot!! oh and sumthing i have been doing is drinking 8oz!. of water before every meal it really works!! that way you dont eat tooo much!! hope i helped!.!.!. by the way good job!! keep eating healthy and exercising good!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's a really healthy plan but don't limit yourself to exactly everything on this plan!. You might get bored with it and give up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been a bit over weight for some years and after a visit to my GP, the nurse gave me a plan which is absolutely fantastic - it works, is painless and does not need planning!. The diet is by the British Heart Foundation and basically you are allowed the following daily portions of food per day:

7-8 portions of fruit/veg
7-8 portions of bread, pasta, cereal etc
2-3 portions of dairy
2-3 portions of meat/fish
20 g fat
1 portion sugar

I have made a tally chart and just tick off whatever I have through the day - so far I have been unable to eat the maximum allowance! You must eat 3 meals a day and increase your exercise rate - I just walk a mile a day extra!. I noticed a difference within a week, have lost a stone in 6 weeks and have so much energy!

Forget the bottled water - tap water is better!.

Try it - you will be amazed!. You can probably get more info re!. portion sizes from the BHF or your GP!.
