Question: I am joining slimming world and ihave never done it before, any advice for me!?

I have been following Slimming World for just over a year and have lost nearly 7 stone so far!. When I first started I thought I would never understand all the 'rules' but it has been relatively easy!. My top tip would be to plan all your meals in advance!. I usually plan 1 week in advance so that when I go shopping I know I have got everything that I need in making me less likely to come off plan!.
The good thing about Slimming World is you can eat an unlimited amount of certain foods depending on whether you are on a gree or original day!. You need ever feel hungry no matter how big your appetite!. Anyone who had ever dieted will say there is no way you can eat all they say you can and still lose weight!. My advice there would be just trust the plan and follow it for a couple of weeks and you will be surprised!. For the first few weeks I kept thinking 'I can never eat all this and lose weight, but I did!.
Invest in a SW recipe book or buy the magazine for new ideas and inspiration!. Try different foods every day to make sure you don't get fed up!. Fill up on lots of fruit and vegetables as well!. And make sure you drink enough, sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger!.
Ensure you take advantage of your 'syns' and 'Heathy extras' they are they to make sure you don't feel deprived!.
To start with try to do a good mix of original and green day (unless you are vegetarian)!.
I also stay to class each week and take part in 'image therapy', it may seem like a cliche, but it does help!. I get loads of support, recipe and advice from the other members!.
Also try the SW website, you can get the password from you class each week and there is a forum that you can join that offers extra support!.

You may find the portion control difficult to understand at first, with red and green days meaning you can have more on one day and less on the other, you also have free foods, I find the whole thing confusing!.
Write down the things that you don't understand and any worries you might have there and then so you won't forget, then you can show it to your leader and they should go through anything you have any problems withWww@Answer-Health@Com

My advice is: 1, Drink lots of Water!. 2, Eat less!. 3, Move more and 4, Avoid Aspartame!.

Do a search for 'Aspartame makes you fatter', then ask yourself "Why do these dieting businesses keep suggesting the use of aspartame!?"Www@Answer-Health@Com

i take it that you mean you are going on a diet!.

if so: when you begin a diet, NEVER cut down straight away!. go slowly, excersise a little bit more reguarly, go from full cream milk - rev/low fat/ - skinny milk/no fat!.

have sugar supplements rather than removing it completely!.!.!.
