Question:

How much weight will i loose in 1 month if I walk about 2 kilometers every morning.?

I'm a girl in early twenties, my weight is 62kg & height is 5 feet 5 inches. Around how many kilos will I loose in 1 month if I walk about 2 kilometers every morning? I walk in moderate speed (25 minutes to walk 2km).
If anyone has an idea please help. I'm so worried about my weight.
Also please do let me know what I can do in addition to loose weight.

It depends on what you do currently. How active are you? Honestly walking at a leisurely pace is better and does burn more calories than sitting on a sofa watching tv--but isn't really a workout either and doesn't count as cardio exercise for the day. Also being that you are in the normal range--you are struggling to lose that last 4-7 kg which is the hardest to lose anyway.

If you are determined to lose it though, you have to vary your workout. 30 min of cardio is the minimum and that means getting your heart rate up to a fast rate. You can look online to see the target heart rate for your age but you have to feel the heart pounding to be in it. Also consider adding some strength training. Walk with small weights and do your bicep curls and tricep curls while walking. Also do a few lunges for extra quad strength. One leg in front of the other. The front leg flat on the ground, the other in a lunge. Go straight down like a lift until your knee is close to the ground. Do about 10 of those and you'll feel it the next day.

Also keep a food journal so you can figure out exactly how you are sabatoging yourself. Write down everything you eat. Are you missing meals? Are you drinking sodas during the day? Do you eat your last meal really late (after 8pm or within 3 hours of going to sleep). If so, fixing those problems will help the weight loss.
