Building muscle and whey protein?!

Question:

Building muscle and whey protein?

hey all, im 32 years old and at present weigh about 98kgs. i'm pretty chunky but have a strong build though i am looking to loose a lot of my fat and bulk up on muscle... i know you can't really turn muscle into fat but should i still be concentrating more on lifting and muscle work rather that cardio with the hope that the increased muscle will use up more calories and hence burn the fat?? in that case how should i give my muscles enough calories to grow... without gaining more fat? is whey protein or something a good idea? or should i just eat what i eat (my weight hasn't really changed in years) or cut back?? i know not to judge myself by weight alone as muscle weighs more so i'm looking for the obvious physical signs of change.any advice would be great... i got a 4 month goal to change my body shape =) hey and anyone Glasgow based want a training partner for morning? =)

Answers:

What worked for me was eating better (low fat, good calories including whey protein). By adding muscle it will definitely help you loose weight. Although adding cardio to the weight lifting would be the best way. If you don't have time for both, I say stick with the weight training. It may take a little longer, but you will look better sooner. It's your choice Stonger looking or skinny.

Good luck!
