How do I learn to do the splits by myself?!


Question: How do I learn to do the splits by myself!?
I want to become more flexible and my goal for this summer is to learn to do the splits!. How do I get started!?Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
Do simple floor stretches that will help increase your flexibility!. To get a middle split:

1!. Sit in a straddle position on the floor and keep your back tall and taught and shoulders down!. Slowly inhale and reach your arms infront of you, sliding them down the floor infront of you and holding it while continuing to breathe deeply and slowly!.

2!. Start on all fours, then lower your forearms to the floor so that your elbows are on the ground and your making a fist (as if holding a candlestick in each hand)!. At this point your knees should still be on the ground!. Stretch your legs out to each side of you so all your weight is in your arms!. Lower yourself down as far as you can go and hold the position for 1 minute and increase the amount of time each day by intervals you feel comfortable with!.

3!. Sit close to a wall in a split position and scoot yourself as close in to the wall as you can!. This one hurts but will help as well!

4!. Lay on your back and place one leg on the ground while the other is straight above you!. Grab ahold of your ankle or calf, whichever is more comfortable for your height!. Pull that leg down as if you want it to touch the floor and DO NOT bend your knee on either leg!. Keep your hips centered and dont let them roll out of place!.

before you begin these stretches i would advise you to stretch standing up first by standing with your feet wider then shoulder width apart and keeping your knees straight, try and make your plams touch the floor inbetween and slightly infront of your legs!. Do the same thing to either side, but reach your hands down as far as they will go!. Hold each stretch for at least 1!.5 minutes!.

The best way to start is to stretch!. Sit on the floor and stretch your legs in a 'V' shape as far as they can go!. Then reach your arms towards your right foot (as far as you can) and hold it for like 10-20 seconds!. Do the same for your left leg!. Each time you'll notice you can go teensy bit further!. Keep stretching like this, and try and stretch your legs out further each time you start!.

i would love to help but i cant cuz i have to show u!! its actually really simple!. u have to find your dominant leg, just have someone push u from behind and then whichever u step foreward with first!. u probably already know that!.!.!.theres 3 stretching positions for the splits and i cant explain it i have to tell u :( sorrryyyy! i would go to a gymnastics place and just ask thats wat i did i didnt ever do gymnastics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH!!!!thats the main thing on get'n ur splits!.!.!.i just got mine, u gota stretch urself out realy well every single day!. the first few days u may be a little sore from the stretch'n but after that ur body gets used to it and becomes more flexible!. one good stretch i do is lay on my back & push ur legs up to a wall in straddle position!.!.!.just hold it there and the gravity will push ur legs down, stretch'n em out, i usuly hold it for about 3 minutes, breath slowly and push em down s little further to the floor the more u hold it, its a great stretch for get'n ur splits, & so is the butterfly stretch!!

i did splits by myself and now i am so happy!.

First, do some stretching!. like touching your toes!.

and practise pushing yourself everyday, not only that, count up to __ seconds depending on how long you want to stay and i think u can do splits soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, try do as much of it as you can everyday and slowly u might get it!.!.!.!.!.!.or go online and search for simple everyday foot stretches you can do everydayWww@Answer-Health@Com

you shuld start excerising your legs like running etc!. then u shuld try doing a split after you excerise veryday 2 see if you got anywhereWww@Answer-Health@Com
