Is white rice good for you?!


Question: Is white rice good for you!?
most asian countries eat white rice (which I have an part asian background)!. I love rice but I know it is high in carbs!. That is all I have been eating lately is rice, and fruit and salad!. Will too much make me fat!. I probably have about 2-3 cups cooked a day!. I know brown is better, but i am not impressed with the taste or smell of it!. i prefer white!. Also is rice low in sodium and fat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, it sounds like you already know the answer!. Brown rice is definitely better because the fiber makes it a whole grain!. Also, your body converts white rice into sugar faster than brown rice, just like white flour!. Any kind of rice is low in sodium and fat, unless you put salt and butter on it!. It also sounds like you are not getting enough protein in your diet!. Try eating a beef or chicken stew over your brown rice!. That might mask the taste for you!. Once you get used to eating brown rice, I bet you'll like it better than white!. If you are vegetarian, look up some recipes on line for lentil and bean dishes that you can eat on top of rice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea rice is low in sodiun and fat
see how healthy Chinese and Japanese are
they are also much skinnier than Americans
so i don't think rice is really fattening unless u eat too much
carbs are important for providing energy
it is recommended to eat 250-300g of carbs a day but it depends on how much calories u r eating

Rice causes diabetes doesnt it!? Go for a large variety of brown stuff and whole grains!. One Japanese guy survived for 18months on popcorn!. Is it healthy!? No!.

There is only as much salt as u add!.

Carbs turn into fat if u eat too much, but there isn't fat in rice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
