Do you know where I can get a relatively inexpensive elliptical machine, good qu!

Question:

Do you know where I can get a relatively inexpensive elliptical machine, good quality?

Answers:

Personally, I think your best bet is to join a gym. I recommend joining a smaller gym, and not an uber-popular fashion-central gym.

My reasoning is this: if you're going to spend say $500 on a decent elliptical machine, you'll be putting say, $100 down, and making $25/month payments for a few years. Well, why not catch a gym at a promotional week, where you don't have to pay any sign up cost, and you pay about $25 a month to use their facilities.

Now, instead of JUST getting to use ONE elliptical machine, you can use the elliptical, the treadmill, the stairmaster, the machines, the free weights, and maybe the classes, sauna, and personal trainers!!

Sometimes people like the comfort of their own home because they don't like the single "check me out" scene at big local gyms. Try joining a Curves or other small gym that doesn't have that "I'm not here to work out, only to find other attractive people like me and date them" feeling.

BUT, if you still want to get an elliptical to keep in your home, I suggest buying second hand. A lot of people will buy a machine like this, and a few months later lose interest because they get bored or they change their priorities and no longer want to work out in their own home. So, check out craigslist and pennysaver and other local advertising agents for something second hand. But, make sure you plug it in and test it out before you hand over the cash and take it home.
