To **clarify**, **celery** is usually considered one of the very few foods that actually provides less energy (measured in calories) than required to digest!. However, adding cream cheese, peanut butter, or anything else quickly changes that!.

If you are looking to shed a few pounds, the important thing to consider is to eat a lot of vegetables and a quite a few fruits!. Celery can be one of them but it's best to have a variety and eat fruits and veggies of all types because as a whole they are generally nutritious, low in calorie, and fill you up!. Eating only celery would not be a wise decision!.

Also, most so-called negative calorie foods are usually not negative calorie but just low calorie!. The best idea is look at the labels on your foods or research it on your own if they aren't available, and then make the decision on your own if you should eat it!. As a rule of thumb, digestion only accounts for about 5-10 percent of your energy requirements!.

Theres no such thing!. Some claim that you use more calories eating it but thats just a misconception, you burn hardly any calories eating it since its mainly water!. That said, its still a good food for the calorie cautious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes much more energy to digest it than the calories already in it!. So the calories are used up when the body digests it!.
That's how I think it works!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
