Question: I've been on a diet for awhile and now i'm scared to stop!?
i've been on a diet for about 4 months that basically was that i ate an apple for breakfast a salad with no dressing for lunch and another salad for dinner!. and i run 2 miles a day!. !. i'm 5'7 and i was 126 lbs and now i'm 87 lbs and i want to stop because i think this is a good weight but every time i try stop i keep it up for about a day but then i get scared i'm gonna gain it back and go back to the diet!. what should i do!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're 5'7 and 87 lbs, you're probably going to gain some weight back, as the weight you're at now isn't "ideal" as far as the human body is concerned (you're BMI is about 13!.6 which is waaay below the recommended minimum of 18!.5)!.

This being said, if you round out your diet with some lean protein and dairy, you'll increase the amount and types of nutrients you take in, which will end up really benefiting you!. So, if you stop the diet, you'll probably gain some weight, but you'll also really help yourself out by getting more nutrients into your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I understand you feel discouraged to stop because you might gain the weight again!. But the method you use is VERY unhealthy because you are not recieving too much of the daily nutrients you should be!. What you can do is eat what you would like, keep up the exercise, base your diet on a 2000 calories basis, and work out a bit more!. And when I say eat things you would like, I do not mean chocolate cake everyday; Only eat food with a lot of fat once a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honey you NEVER needed to diet!. At 126 you were still on the thin side, at 5'7"!. At 87 lbs you are at serious risk for cardiac arrest among other serious medical problems!. You need to gain weight, at least to 115!. And that's still going to be extremely underweight for your height!.

And you will not be fat or chubby at 115!. Only worry about being fat if you are 5'7" and OVER 145 lbs!. 87 is risking your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, right now you are underweight!. You were a perfect, healthy, weight before!. And now it seems that you have gone way to far!. You need to stop this diet!. You are putting your health at risk, becuse you are not eating enough nutrition, etc!.

But, I actually just checked and did it for you and your BMI is 13!.6!. This is severely unbderweight!.
