A "diet" has come to mean eating less, and that is not always the solution!. WHAT YOU EAT (which is what your "diet" is) is at least as important - if not more so - as how much you eat!. You seem to be eating the right foods, but experience (I am not a dietician) makes me think that you are not eating enough!.

There's a reason that the rule of thumb is to lose no more than two to three pounds per week: it's because anything more will not become permanent, and you will find that you put it back on soon after you lose it!.

A change in your diet (i!.e!. to less fatty foods, which - for the most part - you seem to be doing) AND regular exercise (which you also seem to be doing) are essential to healthy weight loss and weight maintenance!. The diet (again: diet as is WHAT I ate, not necessarily as in HOW MUCH I ate) that worked for me:

Fruit, vegetables, cereal, nuts, yogurt, chicken, rice, and fish were the main staples of my diet!.

Also, the higher up in the food chain you go, the more it takes of that particular food to get what you need; the rule of thumb is that it takes TEN TIMES the amount of something that itself has to eat as it does from something that grows of itself - say, beef vs!. vegetables!.

Now, to clarify what has already been said: Although fiber is important to your diet, it has nothing to do with HOW MUCH waste (a!.k!.a!. poop) you expel!. What fiber does is it helps you to expel it (i!.e not feel constipated, or have to "force" it), but water does that, too!. Fiber's main attribute is that it makes the stool softer and less abrasive as it comes out!.

Having said that, let me just add that, in the case of fiber, more is better (take some fiber pills if you feel that you are not getting enough in your diet), but it is not going to help you poop more!. If you feel constipated, then fiber may be the reason for that, but it just as well may be not enough water!. On the other hand: If you just don't have to go, then more fiber is not going to change that!. MORE food is the solution to that!.

And I dont know if you do this, but starving yourself is NEVER the answer: We are designed to eat when we are hungry, but only about the amount of a fistful each time, which is the size of your stomach!. With the possible exception of breakfast (and even then only largER, not large per s
