Weird theory about braces and losing weight?!


Question: Weird theory about braces and losing weight!?
I got braces the other day and they hurt a lot!. I realized the best way to cure the pain, instead of taking drugs, was weight-lifting and cardio!. with braces I also can't eat a lot of fatty and sugary foods!.
Is it normal for people with braces to end up with less body fat and more muscle mass!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

the day i got braces on my dad took me out to eat a salad!. i could barely stand chewing the stupid lettuce!. :)


as to the weight lifting, cardio and losing weight because of the braces, it really depends on the person!.
some people are motivated and some people aren't!.
one of my friends that also had braces chewed gum and i didn't!. if you stick to the guidelines of what to avoid eating and exersize regularly, then you'd definately loose fat mass and gain i muscle mass!.

No it isn't the norm for people with braces to end up with less body fat and more muscle mass unless they start working out like you are doing!. Most kids get braces when they are in middle school and not into weight training unless they are going out for a sport!.

I just continued with my normal routine when I wore braces!. It was pretty thin anyway when I got them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't see how losing weight has anything to do with relieving pain from your braces!. When you work out your body releases endorphins so maybe you just felt better after working out from that and forgot about the pain from your braces, it took your mind off the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
