Why am I sore?!

Why am I sore?
Ok so the last time that i worked out legs was exactly a week ago and that work out did not make me very sore at all. Since then I really haven't done anything for my legs. I woke up this morning really sore!! My butt, my thighs, my calves are sore as thou i had worked out. At first i was just weirded out but there really isn't a reason as to why they should be sore.
Has this happened to anyone before? and does anyone know why this happens

I work my legs out once a week, they're pretty strong and i do the eliptical twice a week. So i work them out regularly

I don't know how old you are hon, but it could be the workout has triggered a growth spurt to your metabolism, causing your muscles to expand and ache. It will go away eventually, so don't worry. Have a good day.
