Question: Healthy Idea's on How to Increase Calorie Intake!?
Since the new year i have been eating healthy and working out daily, for the most part, and have lost 20 pounds!! yippee!! Now for the last month I have hit a plateau and nothing has been changing!. A couple people have mentioned that maybe im not getting enough calories, even though i seem to eat constantly!. So I plugged in what I ate yesterday to fitday and I only ate 900 calories!. Below is a typical day, can i please have some suggestions on healthly ways to improve my diet for optimum weight loss!. Thanks :)

Breakfast - apple and tbs natural peanut butter
Snack - 2 fat free yogurt &1/2 cup of pretzels
Lunch - 1 huge green pepper w/ hummus
Snack - Instant oatmeal

Ok, you've got a good place to start from, although it is a little light on vegetables and fruit!. I would add:

Breakfast - a slice of whole wheat bread to go with your peanut butter!.

Snack - change to low fat yogurt with fruit on the bottom and move one of the yogurts to lunch or the afternoon snack!.

Lunch - add 3 or 4 ounces of protein (boiled egg, or piece of meat)!.

Snack - fine as is!.

Supper - fine as is!.

Add an evening snack of fruit or fresh vegetables!.

That should balance out your daily intake of protein, carbs, and fat!.

you ought to add something to the oatmeal like apples or syrup or maybe a little bit of sugar and maybe you should try cooking for your self or maybe you could add some thing to the hummus like olives or whole chick peasWww@Answer-Health@Com
