Is it dangerous to workout after throwing up?!


Question: Is it dangerous to workout after throwing up!?
I've been in recovery from anorexia and bulimia for awhile and I have a good nutrition plan that allows for some limited exercise!. I've already gone from 90 to 98 lbs!. and I'm 5'7" so that's a lot healthier!. However, the other day I did slip up and started to feel guilty and I threw up what I had eaten!. However, I decided to just stick to my plan for the day and I went to go work out!. I felt fine, but I'm not sure if working out after throwing up is dangerous - I drank plenty of water so I wasn't dehydrated but I don't know if it would have been smarter to skip the treadmill - does anyone know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, if you are 5'7 and 98 pounds, you are still seriously underweight!. I'm really glad you're trying to recover from anorexia/bulimia though! :)

It's probably a bad idea to work out after throwing up, because your body will be dehydrated, even if you don't feel like you are!. And, because your body is physically exhausted after you throw up!. Don't give up trying to get over your anorexia/bulimia!! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

in the plain context of exercise, it is not dangerous to work out after throwing up!. A normal body should have enough fat/protein back up to support the process of energy consumption!. and that's just after you use up the carbs!. but in your case, it is critical that you have stored up (power) before you use some more!. its not all about hydration!. throwing up makes you hypoglycemic (low in sugar)!. moreover, anorexics are known to have low protein and fat levels!. in order for your body to support its activity, it will use up your protein stores and you end up with muscle wasting!. not a very remarkable waste for a day, but its a crucial value for recovering anorexics though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.!.!.throwing up then working out doesn't sound good!. It can make you dizzy and could even cause an accident in the gym if you fall off the treadmill!. You could seriously injure yourself and others around you!.

In addition, you may have drank too much water!. I wouldn't recommend working out on the same days you throw up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
