Best way to loose wieght and keep it off?

I want to loose about 20-25 lbs by January. That would put me at 120-125, I'm 5'5.
I work part time and have a 10 month old baby. I also live in Texas so running/jogging outside is really not an option for me. I do have a treadmill though.
I was wondering what kind of exercise and diet plan will work for my situation. Any suggestions for losing the weight and not getting stuck in a rut and getting board with the routine? Know of any good exercise videos that you personally have had success with??


Answers:

The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make permanent lifestyle changes. If you are a bread-oholic (like me), then don't try low card. It won't stick. Try making small changes like using less butter, substituting applesauce for oil in recipes (it really works, especially in cakes), use less cheese, whatever works for you and is realistic.
As for exercise videos, try checking out some from you library and see what you like. What works for me might not for you. You can also find ones for cheap on half.com or ebay and have several to rotate through.
You have a great, realistic goal and outlook, which is great! You can do it!
