I used to be a perfect weight but since last summer...?!

Question:

I used to be a perfect weight but since last summer...?

Last year I was a perfect weight. I was really healthy and just... perfect! My parents never buy junkfood and I have a pool. I went swimming everyday and spent all day outside. Then I went on vacation... I gained 8 pounds in 2 months. I didn't exersise and ate lots of candy and ice cream. Now I have stretch marks and all my muscle weight has been replaced by fat! I'm fourteen now, 115 pounds, and 5'5. I know it doesn't seem like i'm fat but I really am. I feel bad about myself and my self-esteem is low. I've tried losing weight a lot of times but it didn't work. I ate 1400 calories a day, everyday but I still didn't lose weight. What can I do now? I want to lose atleast 5 pounds. I just don't know where to start. Please help? :(

Answers:

First of all, most people get stretch marks some time in their lives - they're normal. Some get them from growing taller in a short amount of time. Anywho, and as for gaining 8 pounds, 8 pounds isn't THAT bad. It could have been worse!

Being 5'5 and 115 pounds is not considered overweight at all. But... seeing that you don't feel healthy anymore you might wanna keep trying to do something about how you FEEL.

Do you still exercise? Did you go back to eating healthy?

Also, remember that being healthy also means doing stuff that you love, stuff that interests you like making music, playing sports, doing art, playing games, etc. to destress and ease your worrying mind!

All-in-all, you are probably at that age where lots of growing happens. Stop worrying so much! I'm sure you are beautiful. Just keep working out and eating healthily.

And... Smile! You'd be AMAZED what smiling can do for yourself, and others!
