How much protein should I take a day?!

How much protein should I take a day?

I am 22yrs 153 lbs- I am trying to LOSE weight. I eat 6 times a day. The protein shake that I brought has 24g per serving.

Can someone help me with how much protein I need in a day and then help me calculate it into 6 meals? thanks so much

this site has a protein calculator. you put in info like height weight, how much activity you do and such and it will calculate how much protein you should take in. altho i dont know why you want lots of protein to lose weight, just use portion control and take one bad thing that you savor out of your diet. for example, i am tryin to lose weight myself, i am 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. my biggest sin was beer and soda (had alot of both everyday). so i cut them out almost completely and allow one -two cheat days a week. so when you are eating try to maybe leave some food on the plate or eat one less meal a day. and watch your sugar and greasy food intake. i myself have lost 5 pounds in two weeks by doing these things and with powerlifting. i think i would lose more but i am also changing fat into muscle which will actually add to your weight because muscle is heavier than fat. in conclusion stay away from greasy foods, sugars, and alcohol as much as you can and do some light exercise.
