Is 10 pounds in one month a realistic goal?!

Question: Is 10 pounds in one month a realistic goal!?
5'3", about 134 pounds, and 14!. I'm trying to lose 10 pounds because I'm on the borderline of being overweight!. Is losing 10 pounds in 1 month a realistic goal!?

-I'm going to cut out ALL sodas, candy, cake, chips, and meat (I don't eat meat anyway, I've been vegetarian for 2 weeks now!.)
-I'm going to drink LOTS of water
-Eat fruits and veggies for each meal
-Only eat when I'm hungry
-I'm also going to do workout everyday!.

Do you think this will work!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yeah, you don't sound like you're being unreasonable with your goals!. But you're making a massive change in diet and if you keep that up for a month you should be really proud whether you loose 10 pounds or not! If you stick at it you're gunna be a really healthy person pretty soon [:
Oh my god, I've tried going veggie like three times but I can't do it!. You're obviously a really persevering person, well done and good luck!

10# in one month is a little bit unrealistic!. Sure it can be done, but not in a healthy way!.

Go by the guideline of losing 1/2 - 2 # / week with a healthy diet!. That way, not only will you lose the weight, but even as important, you are going to keep it off!.

Make sure you are eating 3 meals a day and sensible snacks, and like you said lots of fruits, veg!. Make sure you get in your protein, dairy each day and all the other requirements!. Cutting out the junk food is a great way to start!.

Just be sensible and follow a really good plan (look at things such as the food pyramid, weight watchers) and you'll take off the weight in no time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's possible and your strategy of cutting out junk is a good one!. But do you want to be healthy just for a month!? What if it take 6 weeks to lose 10 pounds!? Do you give up after 4 weeks!?
You sound like you are interested in really being healthy and vegetarians are some of the healthiest people around - lower rates of all diseases!. But being vegetarian doesn't mean just eating fruits and veggies!. You can become seriously ill if you don't get enough protein!. You need to combine grains with legumes (kidney beans, lentils, chick peas, etc!. ) to get your full complement of amino acids that make up a complete protein!. You will also have to take Vitamin B12 if you are not eating any eggs or dairy or risk serious neurological damege!. Talk to a nutritionist or buy a book on how to become vegetarian properly, otherwise your diet will be so unsatisfying that you won't stick with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not really!. One pound is about equal to 3500 calories!. That means you have to expend 3500 calories more than you take in!. In one month that would be 35000 calories - or about 1200 per day!. Your approach sounds good, but you need to lower your expectations so you don't get disappointed and frustrated and just give up!. And being a vegetarian is OK, but make sure you are still getting plenty of protein from some source and you still need calcium at your age!. Good sources are fat-free yogurt and cottage cheese!. And be aware of those calories that sneak up on you!. For example, catsup is loaded with sugar!. Many fat free foods are loaded with sugar and sodium to make up some flavor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seriously 134 is borderline overweight!? I have to double check but I think that all the way up to almost 150 is still "healthy" even if it isn't what you want for your body!.

10lbs in a month is reasonable, do it if you want to but not because you are almost overweightWww@Answer-Health@Com

it really depends on your weight and body frame but i think that you have some good ideas to lose 10 pounds in a month is a about two pounds a week i think you can reach your goal rather easily um but while diet is about 60 % you need to add about 30 min of cardio per day hope my advice helped good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
