ok, first of all, take it easy!. Your weight is on the normal and healthy range since you are tall, but I undestand you, it's better to go in to the store and look good in any clothed that you want to wear and not asking for the next size!.
So here I go!.!.!.
Be sure that your health is good, before attempting any diet or excecise (go to the doctor to check that if you can, and suspend any diet or excersice routine if you feel weak or light headed)!.

Don't skip meals, avoid sugars (sacarose, fructose, high fructose syrups and all of that sweet poisons that add a ot or calories without aporting any nurturing stuff) decrease the intake of fats as mush as your can!.

This worked for me and for a lot of friends!.!.!.

Substitute wo of your meals with a natural shake!. The one I take here has the following:

7 tablespoons of pure amaranto!.
7 nuts or 7 almonds (natural, not toasted of fried)
1 cup of natural orange juice (if bottled or canned, check the label for no sugar added, or any of the sweet poisons I listed before)
1 table spoon of extravirgin olive oil (you cannot lose fat if your body feels deprived from a healthy dose of good fat)
30-50 ml of skim milk, delactosated, or lebasi powder in water, or any other liquid with calcium casseinate)
1 nopal!.

I take two shakes of that substituting 2 of my meals, and on the third meal I take a portion of meat (chicken, fish ow cow) the size of my hand, and 5 portions of the same size of vegetables, or 3 portions of vegetables and 2 of rice, pasta, bread or beans, lentils, (complex carbs)!.
If you are stll hungry, take half a portion of fruit (mango, kiwi, apple, or ay other of your preference, but avoid strawberries, bananas and grapes)

If you can only substitute one meal with a shake, then try to do tht meal as balaned as you can (1 or 2 portions of protein and 3 to 5 from vegetables and complex carbs as I wrote above)!.

If you are on the road, or cannot avoid eating out, try either to carry salads or fruits, or non sugar cookies, or try a snack from 75 to 135 calories, no more than ONCE a day)!.

VERY IMPORTANT: drink at least 2 liters of pure water (if you drink any other liquids, like coffee or juices, they don't count as water, you still have to drink your 2 liters of pure water)

A cup of black coffee a day can help you burn some extra calories and keep your energy levels, so if you take coffee or tea, try to take it only in the mornings!.

On the excercise, try to take from 15 to 30 mins!. a day to walk, dance, or any other cardio workout (start with 5 to 10 mins and increase the time as you feel it right) and one day week, try to hit the gym to lift some waight for muscle tone (muscle mass is leaner and helps our metabolism burning more calories)!.

If you take the 2 shakes a day substitution, do the excersice and eat right, you will lose thos 5 pounds in 2 or 3 weeks, without compromising your health, and maybe you could decide to keep with the shake substitute some days a week int he future!.

Eat healthy, so you can keep that pounds off, and always remember, If you feel good, you will look good!.
So keep healthy! It's just about eating habits, and those are for life!.

There's no such thing as fast, easy weightloss!. Exercise and and moderate calorie reduction (no less than 1,200 calories daily) is the only way!. When you crash diet, you destroy your metabolism, which means you'll gain the weight back, and more weight on top of that!. There are no "quick fixes" when it comes to losing weight!. If you aren't dedicated enough to losing the weight the right way, then maybe you should just learn how to be comfortable at the weight you are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, weight never comes off very fast at the beginning so you have to be prepared to work hard and then wait to see changes within a month rather than days!. You should try doing a variety of cardio exercises like running, fast walking, skipping and if you can get access to a gym, the rowing machine is a brilliant fat burner!.

You should also do exercises on top of this and your body will become a fat burning machine and that's when it will become easier!. Any shortcut or promise of changes in days will not happen but this will!. I've put some examples of the kind of exercises you should try doing!.

2!. start brisk walking 40-60mins a day!.!.!.get a dog or 2 if you find your walking routine boring!.!.or if you are at a gym,experiment all forms of
cardio available and stick to all that you like

3!. drink only water,100% natural/fresh fruit/veggie juices,lowfat milk and lots of green tea

4!. severely limit carbs n fat but eat lean proteins and veggies very well!.!.make sure you eat a good breakfast!foods generally that aid fat loss-
fruits,oatmeal,milk,raw nuts,fish,beans,veggies, small chunks of dark chocolate and herbal teas!.

5!. do adequate amounts of pilates/yoga/strength training to get the best from your cardio,make slight adjustments to your workout routines
every 2 or 3 weeks to avoid plateaus

6!. be smart when eating out or at events/functions(such as preparing your own meal & eating in advance)

7!. dont trust myths like "no food after 7pm"!.!.!.you have to stay nourished to lose fat,!.!.the best you can do if you are scared to eat is perhaps

i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day
green tea speeds up your metabolism
drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day!.
do not snack
go on the half off diet only eat half of what you would usually eat and give or throw the rest away
if you are really hungry and you've had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
get more active
get more sleep it prepares your body
stretch, yes it works and it doesn't just help you lose weight it helps with you're growing to make you a little taller
count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day
change you're lifestyle it makes a difference
do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it
chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you're cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you're food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you're stomach as you eat!.
do not eat before you go to sleep
drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
eat spicy food, if you can because it speeds up you're metabolism
do not weigh you're self everyday because it torments you,weight you're self once a week ( every Monday )

Uhm how fast are you thinking!? You would have to workout every night for a couple of hours go for a walk instead of driving!.!.and maybe do a little workout in the morning!. Also you can drink smoothies for breakfast there great,healthy low-in calories/fat!. For lunch stick with fruits and salads and soups!. For supper try not to pass 300-400 calories and if you do this for a bit you should lose the pounds in no timeWww@Answer-Health@Com

You do realize that 141-172 is the ideal wieght for someone your height!. You are right in the sweet spot, but if you want to lose weight doing it fast is not healthy and will not work in the long run( anything you lose you'll put right back on)!. If you exercise and limit yourself to a low fat/lower cal diet( 1,400 calories per day) you should lose about 1-2 pounds per week!. Fast wt loss oftern results in fast return of the wt plus some!. If you want to lose it and keep it off go for ~2 lbs/wk!. Exercise is a must - say 3 days cardio (run, pwr walk, swim, bike) 3 days wt training w/ light wts and lots of reps!. Start slow though to avoid injury!. Pay attention to portion size - only eat till satisfied not stuffed!. Eat lots of veggies and fruit, whole grains and lean protein!. 1!. Only eat 3 times a day!.
2!. Eat healthy foods with not alot o calories!.
Eat veggies and other good fruits!.
Junk food is ok every once and a while
drink water with all meals and not coke or any other soft
drinks!.
