it really depends on your level of daily activity, the types of activities and the amount of body fat that the person has!. the food pyramid is designed to make people fat!. the average male to maintain the weight or to lose body fat needs about 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats!. since females have naturally slower metabolic rates and less muscle mass they need even less carbs then men!. so 45% protein, 35% carbs and 20% fats will do for most women that are not competitive athletes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
