Weight lifting myth true or false?!

Question: Weight lifting myth true or false!?
I am in 8th grade and for football next year I really want to bulk up and will be doing pretty intense lifting this summer but I am only 5'6 and really want to bulk up!. Will weight lifting stunt my growth because I really really really want to get taller!? Also are most high school freshman half backs small like me because I know that they definantly aren't as tall as like a lineman!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Weightlifting does not stunt your growth though extreme weight lifting does compact the body because when you do intense training, your muscles will not be used to it and it'll begin to expand!. I am 5'7 started intense work outs when I was 15 and grew an inch now!. But that was just me, I guess I hit my peak in growth!. If it's meant that you grow taller, then it will happen!. Being 5'6 in grade 8 is decent, you'll grow more!. It depends what players chosoe half back positions!. I played linebacker for one year!. No big issue, it's just that you have to be quick and agile to play that position

Heavy lifting certainly does place undue stress on your growth plates, so yes, it can restrict your growth!.

Keep in mind your height is genetic, so review your lineage to see if there is even potential to keep growing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
