Is it safe to drink half a gallon of milk at once?!

Question:

Is it safe to drink half a gallon of milk at once?

My bestfriend and I are going to do a bet together. We're suppose to eat 100 oreos and a gallon of milk for 100 dollars. So we're going to split it in half and we will each eat 50 oreos and half a gallon of milk. I'm not so concerned about eatting the oreos... i'm just curious to see if it is safe to drink half a gallon of milk at once. i don't want it to thin my blood out and me pass out and die! lol. some help would be nice!

Is the challenge to see who can put it all away the quickest?

It sounds like you've got your heart set on this and nobody is going to stop you. You may find that doing this stunt once will teach you a valuable lesson about the limits of your stomach.

There are people on tv making a lot of money eating large amounts of food in short periods of time, but they are paying a price with their health. Actions have consequences.
This is not a good idea. People have died from drinking too much liquid at once. It upsets your salt levels in your blood and creates a very dangerous situation. Also, all of your digestive enzymes will be diluted with all of that milk and so the oreos will just go to the intestines without really being digested well. This will give you a stomach ache for sure. You won't die though. Usually, the folks who have died from too much liquid drank 4 gallons at once.

Oreos ain't what they used to be either. They are much higher in sugars than they were when I was a kid. High Fructose Corn Syrup is a major ingredient of the new recipe and much more dangerous than regular sugar.
If you start to feel pain doing this stunt, remember that it's okay to quit.
