Yes, walking will help you to lose weight, but once or twice a week won't give you good results!. You need to do that everyday if you can, so that the results will be better!. You also need to drink a lot of water and natural juices to avoid dehydration after walking 5 kms!. Avoid fatty, sweet and salty foods coz it will ruin your diet!. Keep it natural!. If you want to lose weight, you need to increase your cardio (so walk at least 3-5 times a week)!. Yoga is GREAT for you (for toning) and I'm a long time student of yoga so keep up the yoga!
Also, mix up your cardio (maybe cycling or a different form of cardio) This might help give you some tips!.http://buzz!.prevention!.com/boogie-your-w!.!.!.
