I have zero endurance and I am a beginner in cross country..?!


Question: I have zero endurance and I am a beginner in cross country!.!.!?
I am a 15 year old girl!. I am 100 pounds and 5'1"!. I just started cross country this week!. I haven't done any sports before!. How do I increase my endurance when I'm running!? I get tired after literally 1 minute of running at a slow pace!. I know that's sad and I'm tired of being the first person to start walking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to start pushing yourself!. you are new at this so be patient and your body will strengthen!. do some running at home in your off time and eventually you will get better!. its almost like practice!.!.!.hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well i do a lot of running because i do track and soccer!. My best advice is to do some running outside of cross country even running for 10 minutes a day will help you and just start running longer!. You could also try joining a swimming team because that really helps your endurance!. Maybe run with an ipod during practice to keep your mind off running a long distanceWww@Answer-Health@Com

i do cross country and im in the county team, i suggest training in the gym on cardiovascular endurance equipment such as the treadmills and exercise bikes, that usually works for me, give it time as well, its gonna take a long time to get your endurance upWww@Answer-Health@Com

You really have to build it up!. This week you may get tired after 1 minute, but next week it will be 2 minutes, then 10 minutes, etc!. The thing is to be consistent and stay with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
