Is it really necessary to calorie count?!

Question: Is it really necessary to calorie count!?
when trying to loose weight!? Don't get me wrong, I know I can't eat whatever I want, but as long as I have a sensible diet, and I exercise, I will loose weight!.

I do cardio twice a day, do weights once a day, do abs almost everyday, and I don't eat junk food, only once in a blue moon, and I really don't eat a lot of meat!.

I'm trying to loose weight, and i have lost weight, but I haven't been counting every single calorie!. I know approx how many calories I take in though, but I don't follow my calorie count like a religion

is this ok!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I never counted calories in my life!. Honestly, it's smart for some people to do so, but not everyone has to!. So no, it's not necessary!. You sound like you're fairly fit!. If you've gained weight, I'm going to say it might be safe to assume it's just muscle if you work out that much!.

If you calorie count, it will probably just add one more stressful thing to think about, and stress can sometimes cause your weight to change a little!. I say don't worry about it!. You have a good system going right now!. Instead of worrying about calories, just keep eating well, getting your fruits and veggies, your protein, and your fiber!. Doing those things will help you stay healthy and fit along with exercise, and you won't have to really worry completely on calorie intake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Personally, diligently counting calories all the time really sucks!. Stick to the recommended food groups, continue with your current exercise and you should be fine!.
Here's a little tidbit to think about:

A number of years ago, the United Nations World Health Org!. conducted an experiment!. They selected two groups of people, 50 in each group!. Over a period of one year they fed both groups the same food, and the same volume of that food!. One group ate 3 times a day, the other group ate 5 times a day!. The group that ate 3 times a day slightly gained weight, while the group that ate 5 times a day slightly lost weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is great! Your doing exactly what you should to lose weight!. However maybe consider leaving 1 day for rest so that your body can heal itself after all this exercise your doing!.

Calorie counting can be very helpful for some, and if one is just starting to lose weight and has been consuming an extravagant number of calories a day, calorie counting for the first little while may be helpful so that they can see how much they should be eating a day compared to how much they are actually consuming!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're exercising and eating healthy food and it's working for you, isn't it!? Then of course it's okay!.

Calorie counting is an artificial way to keep track of how much you're taking in when simply trying to stop eating when you're full and be reasonable about choices isn't working -- it's a substitute for naturally or by training being able to gauge whether you're eating right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I keep a general count of how many calories I consume!. I am on an ultra low carb diet, but if I eat too many calories I still don't lose weight, and that's with doing cardio and lifting weights every day!. So I need to keep my calories at around 1600 a day and I keep carbs at under 50!. If I go to say 2000 calories I won't lose weight even without eating carbs!. It sux but there's nothing I can do about it!. But yeah, just a general idea of your calories is ok I think, I don't keep a super accurate log or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From the amount of exercise that you do, it doesn't sound like you really need to count your calories!. However, I really do recommend getting a high amount of protein if you really want to build some muscle in the areas you're lifting!.

Also, have days to rest so that your body has time to catch up!. Or else, you'll stop making progress!. Believe me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes but it is a good idea to know how much you are taking in that way you know how many you have to burn!. You could think you are eating 1,500 a day, but then realize you are eating 1,700 instead which is something you do not want to do if you are trying to lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I think it's ok!. Calories don't know whether you counted them or not!.

I think the reason that calorie counting is important for some people is that they don't have a realistic idea of whether they're overeating or not unless they count!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're working out and eating sensibly - and see results then don't worry!.

If you get stuck in a plateau, then consider counting the calories and keeping a food journal!.

Good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is okay not to do a calorie count- adjust your food intake according to whether you are losing weight!. by the way though, i dont think you should be doing weights every day!. It can strain your muscles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's stupid when people are like "Oh my god!!!!! I can't eat that, it has 80 calories in it"

Just stick to a healthy diet, and a safe diet!.!. and you'll loose wait, AND be healthy!.
Exercise too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

im trying to lose weight too!. Just watch your PORTION COUNT and your FOOD GROUP COUNT!. As long as you get enough exercise, the calories won't matterWww@Answer-Health@Com

In a way, yes!. Ideally, you should have 500 calories per meal, that really is effective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think 2 pounds per week is a good weight loss program!. You may get fed up and quit if you try to count calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should be good!. You're exercising a lot, so that should compensate for any extra calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO JUST EAT RIGHT =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
