You should talk to your doctor he may be able to clear things up more!.

1 pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories!.!. everyday your body burns a certain number of calories by walking and doing normal daily activities it is called your BMR (basic metabolic rate)!. You should not consume less than 1200 calories a day if you are a female and 1500 calories a day if you are a male!.

It is healthy to lose 1-3 pounds of fat a week!. To do so you need to take in less calories than you consume!. If you want to lose a pound a week you should try to burn 500 calories each day!. 500 x 7 = 3500!. However, if you are just starting to lose weight and become active start off slow!. First you may want to concentrate on your diet and add in exercise!. It is impossible to lose a pound in a day, if you do lose a pound in a day it is just water weight!.

Starting with a 1 hour walk is great!. However, if i were you i would only chose either running or 15-20 minutes swimming at the begining because if you try to do to much to soon you will "feel the burn" and my injure yourself!. Also!.!. as you continue to exercise you need to keep increasing the intensity or length of your workouts because your body will adapt to the exercise and you will hit a plateau where u don't lose weight!. So I would start off with the walking and the swimming and every 2 weeks maybe increasing the time, or the speed or even add in the running if you feel up to it!. Doing the calisthenics such as 60 curl ups and push ups is great, its important to also get a good weight training regime!.

Try to stay away from rewarding yourself with food, expecially on two nights or find alternatives for those meals!. like instead of fried chips maybe have a small bowl of crackers, pretzels, or baked chips instead!. And have a baked potato instead of fries!.!. much less fat and grease and calories!. Try to only have 1 "cheat day" if you must!.
Make sure to eat every meal, skipping meals will slow down your metabolism and cause your metabolism to be less effective at burning those calories you eat!.

Burning and counting calories has made people fatter than ever!. What does healthy eating have to do with calories!?

There is a lot of bad information out there!. It has made America the fattest society ever!. But it makes food companies and diet companies rich!. Learn why black coffee, lean meat and non-fat yogurt are so fattening!. The book, Intuitive Eating, says "If you tell yourself that you can't or shouldn't have a particular food, it can lead to intense feelings of deprivation that build into uncontrollable cravings and, often, bingeing!." Nourish your body thin, instead of starving it fat!. Learn the fastest way to lose weight!.

Never cut carbs, fats and calories!. Eat foods made by nature, not man-made foods designed to make you fat and addicted to food!. Which has more calories: a plain potato or one with a healthy fat like olive oil!? The latter!. Which is more fattening!? The former!. How can this be!? The fat slows down the calories going into the blood (see glycemic load and glycemic index) making it less fattening!. It is not about how many calories but how fast they enter the blood!. But plant foods have fiber!. Fiber provides no calories, is filling and also slows the calories entering your blood!.
