My neck hurts whenever i do situps. what am i doing wrong?

please help. i hate doing situps because i know i might be injuring my neck while doing them. any descriptions of how to do them correctly will help a lot. thankyou!

when u get neck pains wwhen u do sit ups that means ur not properly doing the situps.
Regular Sit Ups is probably the most popular of all Stomach workouts. Regular Sit Ups are good for losing weight around the stomach and toning the muscles. When doing Sit Ups, find yourself an open spot on the floor. Lie down on the floor with your knees bent up. Your feet should be flat on the floor. You can have someone holding your feet to the ground or having an object to place your feet under to steady yourself, but this is not necessary. Now that you are on the floor, take your arms and cross them over your chest with your hands at your shoulders. If you are unsure if your hands are in the correct position, look at the picture to your right.You can also place your hands behind your head if that is more comfortable for you.

WITH YOUR BODY in the starting position, use your stomach muscles to pull your body toward your knees. Now slowly go back to the starting position. This slow motion provides more resistance to help work the stomach muscles more.
