Question: Any1 have this trouble!? any suggestions or advice!?
I have been trying to quit smoking for a while now but seem to always give in and say "I'll start after this pack" no will power I guess!.!.I have been trying to do it cold turkey and fail each time I really don't want to take any meds and I can't chew the gum any1 have any helpful adviceWww@Answer-Health@Com

I found that the best way was to change my old routine!. Cold turkey is the only way that would have ever worked for me!. The three day hurdle is the worst part and believe me, after the first week you'll feel like a new (and improved) woman!. Buy yourself some gorgeous smelling hair and body products and then lather yourself in perfume and you'll be less likely to light up and ruin the beautiful smell!. Replacing cigarettes with food isn't great in the long run, but for the short term, pig out whenever you want a smoke! What harm will it do for a week or two!. Keep yourself busy and line up little projects!. Pin a list to the place in your house or garden where you smoke the most with reasons why you want to quit and keep a jar of cash you would have spent on cigarettes every day and top it up the way you would have bought cigarettes!. Then calculate how much you will have in two weeks and think of something you want that costs that much and then you have that little treat to look forward to!. Oh - and for me, dabbing a little toothpaste on my tongue really worked because when I taste mint I never wanted a cigarette, the same with strawberry suckers!. Maybe there's something that you don't like the taste of while you're smoking!? Good luck!

PS: A really silly way that really works is to find a smell you detest like garlic, or (for me) vanilla and coat your fingers with it a little, so as you can smell it when you smoke, but no-one else can!. There's a very small margin though so don't overdo it!. lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
