Where to measure your Waist, Bust and Hips?!

Question:

Where to measure your Waist, Bust and Hips?

Like, is your waist above your belly button or below? and where is your hips exactly? I really want to do a measurement of those areas. Thanks.

Answers:

Measurement are usually taken at the widest part of each area with the exception of the waist.

For your waist you would measure right above your belly button.

For your bust, it's right at the nipple area unless you sag a bit then you would take it at the area that sticks out the most.

For your hips put your hands on your butt and feel where it sticks out the furthest. Now put your arms at your sides and feel down about 2-3 inches below your elbow. Is this the widest part of your hips? If so, feel back to your butt, is is also the part that sticks out the most? If so that is where you measure. If they don't match measure each area and pick the larger of the 2 numbers.

If you are measuring to chart weight gain or loss remember how tight or loose you are measuring and always wear the same clothes and undergarments. If not your measuring won't be accurate and you might look like you are gaining or losing weight when you want to do the opposite. Also remember to use the same tape measure each time. Sometime they can stretch out and can make an inch or two difference.

The first time you measure. Do it several times to see if you get different numbers. If they stay the same then you are doing it correctly.
