Question: Is it wierd to be skinnier than everyone!?
I'm 14 years old, I'm about 5"1, I dunno my height but I'm short!. I weigh 85 pounds!. I'm really skinny and i don't understand why! I eat all the time, but I'm still skinny!. It's wierd!. the docter says I'm healthy, and he says I am under weight though!. I've always been a really small girl!. But why do I never gain like all my other friends of me!? they always say they are jealous because they wish they were as skinny as me, but sometimes i feel like people make fun of me behind my back!. i've been call anerexic before!. but i'm not!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have the exact same situation, well i just turned 15, but Im exactly 5'1'' and 85 pounds haha!.!.

But the reason is just because you have a really high metabolism, and it burns fat reaally quickly!. I know exactly what you mean though!.!.!. i mean, i like the fact that I can eat a lot and whatever I want without gaining weight , but i have had people think that i am anorexic or unhealthy, and its just really frusterating!. I also feel like people sometimes treat me like a younger kid than I am because of my size!.

It's not 'weird', it just sounds to me like your metabolism is faster than your friends'!. If your doctor tells you that you're healthy, I wouldn't worry!.

Also, don't try to eat lots of fatty foods to gain weight either, that will just raise your cholesterol and blood pressure, clog your arteries, and it might not even turn into actual pounds on your body!. Just eat what feels right to you and don't worry what people think as long as YOU know that YOU are healthy!.

As you get older, your body will most likely fill out and get curvier, but I really wouldn't worry about it at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You worry too much!. Be happy of what you are!. Who are they to judge you!? Your still growing, it just take some time!. Don't go eating some unhealthy food just because you want to gain some weight!. Just step it up a little if you want to gain weight!. Eat something extra: PB&J, 1 or 2 more fruit etc!. Just keep adding it up every week or so!. Exercise and drink water!. Keep it healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

blow them off!. it is truley jealous!. as long as you are eating healthy, and dont have an eating disorder you are doing nothing wrong!. just pretty darn lucky!. your metabolism might kick in later in life, so prepare yourself by eating helathy even though you dont nessicarly have to for your body shapeWww@Answer-Health@Com

yeah i use to weight alot more than i did and i suddenly lost weight from doing nothing!.!.!.literally!. i still eat the same!.!.!.sometimes even more!. i now weigh 120 and never gain any weight no matter how much i eat!. you probabaly just have a fast metabolism!. if u wanna gain weight take vitamins and something like ensure!. good luck!.

You have high metabolism!. Just wait!.!. once you get older whatever you eat will go to your thighs and love handles!. :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your GP is incorrect - well, almost!. Your BMI is 16, which for your age (BMI is calculated differently for children and adolescents) is just about OK!. Gaining another couple of kilos wouldn't hurt, though!.

You say you're 5'1" - and then you state you don't know your height; which is it - are you 5'1" or not!.!.!.!?

The simple fact is that some people have a propensity to gain weight, others don't!. I fall into the former category, which is why I must be really careful!. I used to be morbidly obese, now I'm on the skinny side of healthy myself!. No two people have exactly the same metabolic rate!. I have a condition (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which affects my metabolism and I have to watch my blood sugar levels, just as I would if I had diabetes (no, I don't mean I have to do finger-prick tests, but I do have to monitor my carbohydrate intake and I am on a blood sugar regulating drug called metformin, which I may have to take for life)!.

My aunt is just like you; she has a very fast metabolism, which means her body burns up more calories in a shorter space of time, which means less is stored as fat!. She's a very svelte 5'9" (and, yes, I'm extremely jealous of her, just like your friends are of you!)

I have to work very hard to maintain my current weight (8st 7) because I used to be over 25st and I have recurring nightmares that I am going to regain everything it's taken me so long to lose!.

I would suggest trying to build up muscle tone so that you don't look as skinny; many gyms run sessions for teenagers, maybe you can talk to a trainer at your local one and see if (s)he can offer you some advice!.

How do you know you're skinner than *everyone*!.!.!.!? I'm sure there are people starving in Africa who are skinnier than you!.!.!. ;o)Www@Answer-Health@Com
