Is starvation really dangerous?!


Question: Is starvation really dangerous!?
I mean I know that it slows your metabolic rate and in the long term can cause serious problems, but is occasional starvation not an effective method to lose weight!?
Perhaps as in not eating for two days or so every few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's just a pointless way to lose weight as all you lose is water weight anyways!. You even risk losing more muscle mass then you lose fat which puts you at risk for gaining even more weight in the future!.!.
Just adding a bit of exercise to your daily life would make a much bigger impact then not eating a couple days a week!.!.
I had a friend that did that back when we were 14!. Back then, we were the same size!.!. Now, she's over 250 lbs!.!. She's still trying to lose weight the same way, by not eating all day!. I on the other hand, eat normally and exercise and I'm still a healthy sized individual!.!.
I can understand fasting for religious reasons, but, it's completely pointless for weight loss!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need food and fluid to provide energy and keep your body working effectively!. If you were one of the many people on this planet who can't get enough to eat each day you might feel differently about self imposed starvation!.
If you genuinely need to lose some weight for health reasons it is best to consume fewer calories each day whilst increasing activity until you reach a healthy weight for your height and body type, then to sustain that by eating a good healthy diet!. Plenty of fruit, veg, good quality protein, some carbohydrates, lots of water/fluid!. Balance in all things!. Deliberately starving yourself for 2 days every week is not healthy eating and your health will eventually suffer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it depends, its not really good for everybody!. Consult your nutritionist first before embarking on starvation as a way to lose fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its ok to not eat for one day aweek as it clenses the body :)

but no more that 1 day a week, as ur body will go into starvation mode and store more fat&lower your metabolism
