When buying food in Europe, how do I know how many calories are in the item?!

Question:

When buying food in Europe, how do I know how many calories are in the item?

If the box says 86 calories, is it the same as it would be in American standards...or do they use a different system to figure out calories ?

Answers:

It is the same.

Most packaged foods have calorie, fat, sugar, salt etc info printed on the labels.
