I wish I could be nice here, but I just can't!. Don't be a moron!. Read this whole thing!. Seriously!.

1) Stop taking whatever it is you're taking to lose weight!. You will permanently screw up your metabolism and be overweight for the rest of your life (probably 80 to 90 years)!.

2) Eat healthy!. EAT HEALTHY!. You are a cheerleader, which means you are active beyond your non-cheerleader friends (unless they do gymnastics and aerobics everyday as well)!. You need calories in order to function, but calories from McDonald's are not what your body uses to work!. Pack your lunch if your cafeteria serves pizza and chicken fingers everyday!. Not only will you drop inches (which is more important than pounds), you will save your parents money on school lunches (yay), and you will learn how to feed yourself properly!.

3) Exercise!. No, really!. Yes, you train for cheerleading, but you obviously don't think you are getting fit from it!. Talk to your coach - see if she will incorporate more push ups/crunches/squats into your training sessions, or see if she can get your team access to a weight room!. Muscle burns more calories than fat does, so if you have a higher muscle-to-body-fat ratio, you will burn more calories while you sleep or sit in class!. Also, muscle sits closer to your bone structure than fat does (or it lays more neatly under the skin, or something like that), so it looks better!. You won't get bulky like guys do because women don't have as much testosterone as men do (which is what causes the bulkiness)!. You would have to become a professional weight lifter and make a conscious effort to become even close to crazy ripped!. If you have no time, do some oblique crunches in the morning or at night before bed!.

4) Learn to accept your body for what it is!. There is only so much modification you can accomplish without doing some pretty horrendous damage!. Your body is changing right now, so you shouldn't get frustrated yet - when you're 25, then you can be frustrated!. Become familiar with your body, what it does or doesn't do in relation to composition, and how it responds to different actions (diets, exercise programs, prescription meds, whatever)

One of the girls I was friends with in high school was 5'0" in shoes and she was the best tumbler on the varsity team!. She didn't look like a cheerleader, but she looked good in her uniform because she *acted* like a cheerleader - she took care of herself so that she would be healthy and a great cheerleader, not so that she would look good in her uniform!.

PS - Wash your makeup off!. If you must, use a tinted moisturizer, but nothing more!. Freckles are fantastic - so many celebs have them - Melissa Joan Hart, Lucy Liu, Lara Flynn Boyle, Cameron Diaz!.!.!.!.guys think they make you cuter!.

PPS - Stop being obsessed with your looks - you are beautiful without all the trappings that society says you should have!. Be more concerned with the drama your friends are involved in, how you're going to pass that hard class you have, and if the guy in the desk behind you has a crush on you or not!. You will be stressing about wrinkles in 10 years - keep worrying now and you'll actually have some to freak about!.

[Edit - This sounds really harsh, but I wish someone had told me this when I was growing up!. You should be able to find books on how to eat healthy in the local library, or you could talk to your family physician!. Good luck - I sincerely hope you are able to solve your "problem"!.]

[Edit again - I just reread your "Additional Details," and sit ups and leg lifts will tone your muscles under the fat in your lower abdomen!. Also bicycles!. Drink a lot of water to reduce your water retention (it works, trust me - by a lot, I mean 64 oz/day - not 3 gallons/day)!. Now I kinda feel like I yelled at you!. Sorry about that!.!.!.it's still good advice!.!.!.]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard!. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her (100% natural)!. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too!. It's really a colon cleanse, and it's a healthy way to detox, not like most diet pills!. Check their website at
http://www!.thin-diet!.us , my aunt got a free trial and paid only $4!.95 shipping and handling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why dont you try bullemia or anohrexia - my god, why do teen girls think that having shapley hips and thighs is such a crime against humanity!. I suggest you go and buy some mens magazines and see what we think a woman should look like!. I think you will find that the image that womans magazines promote as good looking is so unrealistic that men find it laughable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you aren't in shape, how did you get on the squad!?!? but really, just eat healthier and cheerleading IS exercise!.or you can try a 24 hour water diet or whatever!. get a bigger uniform and don't wear that much makeup!. all you need is eyeliner and burts bees!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
