Exercising and eating question?!

Question:

Exercising and eating question?

Okay I exercise about one hour a day, my treadmill tells me I burn 500 calories, and I do this every single day.
I also am 16 years old and weigh 260.

Am I doing good exercise?

Also, if I eat breakfast which is normall around 300-400 calories, do I have to burn like 1000 calories a day by running? Same thing goes with lunch and dinner?
If so, I rather just throw my food back up, because burning 500 calories is already enough to keep me sore through out the day

Answers:

It probably takes 2000 calories per day for your body to function, so the exercise is in addition to your body's metabolic rate for staying alive. It is good that you count calories so you realize how much you are getting, and exercising so you are burning extra calories. It takes 3500 calories to make or lose 1 pound. So weight lose takes time. You are doing good with your exercise program and keeping track of your eating. Eat healthy calories and not empty junk food calories. Do some weight lifting along with your cardiovascular exercise and it will help with the weight. You don't need to throw up and burning 500 calories is very good. Keep exercising, regulate your diet and you will be at your target soon. Remember that weight is a lifestyle. Unless you learn to eat properly and exercise you will gain back all of the weight.
