Answers:
I started running in my forties!. I wanted to accomplish something before I was too old!. I made weekly distance goals!. When things got too boring I got an I-Pod!. When I needed a running companion I went to the animal shelter and got a big healthy dog!. I ran my first marathon at age forty-five!.

I've done three full marathons, six half marathons and dozens of other races and four Avon Walk for Breast cancer events!.

If it sounds like I am bragging !.!.!.I am!. I've amazed myself, my kids and made my ex very jealous!.

It's only too late to change when they are throwing dirt in your face and saying prayers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Motivation! It's the thing that separates the truely fit from those who wish they could be!. I do a few different things to keep motivation, but ultimately it has to be from within, self motivation!. As far as things I do, you have a few already!. Set short term goals!. Celebrate each but not with food or drink!. Take pictures of your progress bi-weekly!. Weigh once a week or bi-weekly!. Put motivational phrases up around your home and in your car and at work if you can!. Things like "Dig Deep" "Keep it going" "Never Surrender" in big and bold!. Depending on your personality you can also use either negative or posotive motivation!. Personally I persevere from negative motivation, which to some sounds completely crazy, but I like to look in the mirror and tell myself negative things, then I go to the gym and work out like a freak! You might prefer posotive motivation, people telling you how good your looking and stuff like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Small goals are easily attained and give you that boost every week or monthly!. The long term goals will become easier if you are setting smaller ones to get there!.

Have a monthly weight goal, not a weekly one as your body fluctuates too wildly for that to be effective!.

Cheat on a meal once a week and reward yourself every few days with a half a chocolate bar (my fav!.) for sticking to your workouts and diet!.

Don't keep pictures of before as they will cause you stress and a better option is to take a picture every month and start comparing month to month to see if you are making progress!.

Stress and hard times can set you back, just re-evaluate your goals and get back on track!. The point is to be proud of your little goals and it makes the big ones mean more!.

i try to workout every day!.
what i do is:
when i don't feel like working out, i put my workout clothes on anyways!. then afterwards you feel stupid not working out, and you do it anyways!
my goal is always the summertime!. to look amazing in that bikini!. i look forward to it all year!. and i see my friends and relatives only during the summer from away, so i try to impress them by losing that extra couple of pounds that isn't necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Set practical and attainable goals, and do one at a time!. Then when you have attained them, start all over if you have not yet reached the desired goal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
