There are no healthy (or proven) supplements that work!. Trust me!.!.!.I tried them all!. When I finished high school, I weighed 250 lbs (I'm 5'6")!. Over the course of a year, I lost 100 lbs!. All I did was change how I ate (not really WHAT I ate) and exercised!. Eating in the morning does spark up your appetite, but it also sparks up your metabolism!. Anything to increase your metabolism will help you lose weight!.

I never like to eat in the morning, but I found that a protein shake or an apple with a granola bar is just enough to get the metabolism started!. Combine that with a short walk down the street or some yoga really gets your body ready for the day!. Eating smaller, more frequent meals will also kick up your metabolism!. And by smaller, I mean SMALL!. Like, instead of having breakfast, lunch and dinner!.!.!.!.have a small breakfast (like above), a snack (fruit, yogurt, a handful of pretzels), lunch (sandwich on whole grain bread, fruit), snack, and then dinner!. Dinner should be eaten earlier than 7 pm, and should consist of lean meat, veggies and some kind of carb!.

It is actually really difficult to eat that much stuff in one day!. Just be conscious of what you eat, and how much you eat!. In the beginning, I was having issues with portion control!. Basically, take what you would normally eat on a plate!. Then, eat everything except of 1/4 of each food!. Leave it on your plate so you see all the extra food!. Wait a minute and allow the food to chill in your stomach and you will notice that you are full, or darn close to it!. Don't eat the rest on the plate!. Do that with every meal until you feel comfortable eating less at a sitting!. Then, start with the smaller, more frequent meals!.

It works! It seems like the most important part of eating for you is the taste! Who could fault you for that!? :) Food is delicious for a reason!. Just take your time, chew everything slowly and completely!. Savor the taste!. If you eat slowly, you will feel full sooner and best of all!.!.!.you get to enjoy it! :)

As for appetite!.!.!.don't use appetite supressants!. You can achieve the same thing by drinking a glass of water when you are hungry (if it isn't time for a meal)!. Eat foods high in fiber (whole grain bread/pretzels/fruit/veggies)!. Because fiber is dense, it will make you feel fuller sooner!.

Don't let yourself get sucked into the bs world of diet pills!. They are terrible for your heart and they don't work anyway!. Some of them give you gas and diarrhea, and others!.!.!.let's face it!.!.!.they are expensive! Don't give hucksters more money for products that don't work!.

I know this is long, but it is important! A great online community for weight loss is sparkpeople!.com!. They have a nutrition calculator and exercise calorie burning calculator, and support from other people adjusting to a healthier lifestyle!. I highly recommend it! Good luck and don't give up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here's my question - when you had your shake for breakfast - did it control your appetite throughout the day!? Because if so - forget what other people are telling you 'they' say and listen to your body - it knows what is best for YOU!.

If that doesn't work again - before turning to supplements - try a protein shake at breakfast to see if it helps curb your appetite!.

Also, make sure to eat 5-6 small meals a day (stop eating when not hungry instead of when full!.)

Drink plenty of water, iced tea, etc!.

Make sure to lay off refined carbs/sugar - processed foods, fast food, white rice, potato & breads - try whole grains & sugars from FRUIT - the fiber in both is great for controlling appetite!.

If you do turn to supplements - try chromium piccolinate as a natural appetite suppressant without any of the crazy side effects!.

Also - make sure to keep with the exercise - that's the best way to get your body to 'tell you' what you really need!. And chew gum, especially in the afternoon when we are most likely to snack!

Good luck!.!.!.!.and don't ever quit because of one slip up!. Just keep on keeping on!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
