It doesn't make any difference, it'll be down to the individual brand / product!.

One kind of protein shake may be superior to a bar; Another brand of bar may be superior to a shake!.

I'd recommend (as another poster has wisely suggested) - get as much of your protein as you can from whole food sources such as meat, fish, egg, milk, nuts and legumes!.

Use protein shakes and/or bars when it's not convenient to eat whole foods!.

At the age of 14, you shouldn't have to worry too much about this stuff yet!. Just eating plenty of whole food will be OK!.

A widely agreed guideline for protein intake (when increased muscle mass is a goal) is 1 gram per lb of bodyweight, but I'm not sure how this applies to younger trainers!.

Good luck,

If you are 14 you should not be lifting as you could affect your natural development!. At 14 you should be doing body weight exercises only as this will help your strenght develop naturally!. Both these products are marketed at insecure people convincing them that you can look like arnie in no time!. They will cost you more than they are worth!. If you follow an average tub of protein shakes intake instruction it will last ten days and cost
