Correct form for pushup????!!!!!!?!

Question: Correct form for pushup!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!?
I know it's not supposed to be that hard, but my form must be off because when I do the pushups, my elbows hurt and they stick out straight to the side (90degree angle!?) instead of back (and when i go back i only feel my abs working :-z)!. Just so you know, I'm a girl with really long torso and arms (i'm 6ft 1")any advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
British army push ups state that a push up has the elbows locked in at the side of the body!. you extend the arms nearly locking out at the top, and you compress down to where your chest is one fist width away from the floor!.
if you do them, it works your triceps and chest bloody hard!.

the way you're doing them puts lots of pressure on your shoulders more than your chest!. as such, your joints are being relied on to be the levers!. If you cant do the close arms push up!. do a wide stance (as you're doing) but make sure that your arms come out from your body more like 70degrees!. For men, make your hands be in line with your nipples, just as you would for a bench press!.

If you're still finding it hard, try doing the press ups from your knees, then once your ligaments and muscles grow stronger, work up to press ups on your feet!.
dont worry about the elbows, its quite common in girls when they first start doing pushupsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Pushups for females are tougher! Try this substitute (not EZ, but still very good):
1!. STAND back from the corner where two walls meet, about a foot!.
2!. 'Fall' forward till your hands touch each wall with elbows bent fully (nose in the corner)!.
3!. PUSH back, away from the walls to start-position!.
4!. REPEAT 10 times, twice a day for a week!.
5!. Work up to the most you can do (15-30!?)!.
6!. This will also provide a better-looking bustline & stronger upper back muscles!.
7!. Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

try folding your arms like almost on your rib cage and when you go to crunch don't lift higher than the back of your shoulder blades or you can damage your backWww@Answer-Health@Com

talk to a fitness expert, they should be able to help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
