Question: Smart ppl please!?
i need to build endurance for running long distances!. running is my biggest phobia!. i know its an irational fear!. i have to run tomorrow with my cheer team!. does anyone have encourageing advice to help me not be nervous about running

yea!.!.!. i went through that when i joined my school's track team!.!. i was so out of shape and afraid i was going to have to walk part of the ways while everyone else was running!.!.!. i figured out a trick!.!.!. just take long deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth!. keep doing this the whole time and you wont get as tired!. worked for me!. and believe me, i was seriously out of shape considering i had never participated in any other sport in my whole life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try not thinking about the running, keep your mind off of it completely!. Try thinking about what you're doing that weekend, or what homework you have to do that night!. If that doesn't work, try listening to music!. My taekwondo instructor makes us run laps, and he says don't think about it at all, you'll feel better!. Or maybe just think of it as fast walking =D!. Start using a jump rope!. Jump roping for 10 minutes is the equivalent of doing an 8 minute mile!. Its easier on your knees!.
