Answers:
I think any of porridge, muesli or yoghurt with fruit is good!. If you are worried about carbs then breakfast is actually the one time when you shouldn't worry as any carbs you eat will be burnt off during the day!. I find I lose weight easiest when I eat most of my calories early on and nothing in the evening!.
Oat based breakfast is the best as its low gi, high fibre and filling - also oats reduce your cholesterol and keep your skin looking good (as contains beta glucan, a soluble fibre that stimulates repair of skin cells)!.
I make homemade muesli:
40g whole oats (this could be your only carbs for the day)
1 tablespoon linseed/flaxseed (omega 3, protects against breast cancer)
a few almonds, raisins
skim milk
cinnamon (reduces your blood sugar levels)
I make this and leave to soak overnight, and can vary like goji berries or brazil nuts!.
Also if you want to avoid carbs then eggs are supposed to be good breakfast food!.
Definitely stay away from any manufactured cereals like special k as they are full of sugar!.
If you prefer to not have many calories for breakfast then yoghurt with fruit is the best option - I get 0% fat greek yoghurt as its under 100 calories, no fat and high protein, and really filling!.
The fruit that is the least sugar are berries, apples, citrus fruit!.
Most sugar is grapes, exotic fruit, melon!.
Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sugar and carbs are the same!.!.its just that the carb in porridge is in a complex state(polysaccharide) and harder to digest and burn off!.!.!.fruit sugar is a simpler form(disaccharide) that can be burnt off very easily to generate energy, even with low intensity workouts such as walking and yoga!so please, never get negatively obsessed with simple sugars, though at the end of the day,too much of anything is bad,so portion control is the only way!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
